Client Testimonials
Posted on Forni AVerified Finally in Afghanistan! I took a thirteen-day individual tour organized by Let's Go Afghanistan. The organization was perfect, the guides Reza and Jalaludin were competent and professional, and the drivers were very experienced. Khan and Jennifer helped me a lot with valuable advice in preparing the trip, which went perfectly safely. I was able to visit places of great natural, historical, and artistic value such as Kabul, Bamiyan, Band-e-Amir, the Minaret of Jam, Herat, and Kandahar, and I appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the people. I will gladly return to visit other places through Let's Go Afghanistan.Posted on Lu SVerified Incredible adventure Exceptional 10-day trip to Afghanistan. Two top guides — Jalal and Faizan — professional, reassuring and of rare kindness. Thanks to them, I discovered a country as intense as it is upsetting: Kabul, Ghazni, Kandahar, Herat... every step was a visual slap. The encounters were the real heart of the trip: spontaneous smiles, curious children, landscapes speak for themselves: vibrant cities.Perfect organization, security managed by the millimeter, and authentic immersion from start to finish!A country that has a profound impact. I definitely recommend visiting it with LetsgoAfghanistan. I'll be back!Posted on Graham MVerified Wonderful time but terrible traffic. Afghanistan is now relatively safe to visit, the people are friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. So, how should you visit the country? Independent travel is possible but it takes time to obtain the paperwork to visit different regions. Another option is to join a tour organized by one of the many tour operators catering to the burgeoning tourism sector. We chose to design our own 12 day private tour for two people with help from Let’s Go Afghanistan, or LGA.Before we arrived in the country (via Dubai, easy) we exchanged many emails with LGA and we got prompt answers to all our questions and concerns. We designed an itinerary for the trip that focused on our interests and we had our own guide and driver for the entire trip. LGA did a good job before our arrival. However, our itinerary had to be changed when one of us became sick in Herat and could no longer manage the lengthy car journeys. LGA were swiftly able to suggest alternative and shorter day trips from Kabul. The hotel we chose in Kabul, the Kabul Taj, was excellent in many ways and was an oasis of calm away from the busy streets of Kabul. LGA let us choose our hotel on arrival rather than being ‘locked in’ to a previously booked, but unseen, hotel. We strongly suggest other travellers also use this method to find suitable accommodation if your tour allows this option. We had a few problems with our trip, some were LGA’s responsibility and one just a general complaint. First the general– traffic is terrible in cities in Afghanistan. How terrible? Think of the worst traffic you have seen (Delhi, Saigon, Bangkok) and you get an idea of the congestion. Take away all traffic lights and most lane markers too. Kabul roads are chaotic and, as a result, it takes ages to get anywhere in the city. You will be spending a LOT of time stuck in traffic in a small taxi-like car. To reach the outskirts of Kabul took us about an hour on several occasions. Yes, the driver was very skilled at navigating the traffic but it was frustrating to spend so much time sitting in the back of a car. After ‘sleep’ we estimate ‘sitting in traffic’ was the activity we spent most time on during our trip. That’s not good. LGA cannot do anything about the traffic in Kabul and Herat but perhaps visitors need to be aware of the problem. Some people may choose an itinerary that minimizes sitting in traffic–we wish we had!Second, we requested a female guide in Herat to hear a woman’s perspective on life in Afghanistan, and we did get a lot of information from her on that topic. However, our guide was very young (no problem) and seemed to have limited knowledge of the sites we visited. In fact, she described herself as a ‘translator’ meaning, perhaps, that she did not see herself as a guide at all. She also spent a long time taking videos and promoting herself on Instagram instead of guiding us. We told her to pay more attention to us instead of Instagram. Fortunately, our driver was also a guide so he was able to describe places and answer our questions. LGA may need to ensure that all their guides meet a minimum standard. By contrast, our guide in Kabul, and beyond, was excellent. After we returned home we received a request from LGA for more money to cover the cost of our ‘upmarket’ hotel. No problem, but we could have paid the extra in Kabul if we had known. Perhaps LGA needs to be more transparent about the cost of hotels and any overspending by visitors. LGA may want to introduce itemized invoices in the future so that clients know exactly what they are paying for and how much. Many tour companies do this.Overall, we enjoyed our time in Afghanistan especially meeting the friendly people and eating the delicious food. Surprising highlights included visiting the Friday Mosque in Herat, drinking tea at the Blue Mosque in Kabul and visiting the quiet (and traffic free) village of Istalif. LGA helped us to organize our trip and their guides and drivers were, mostly, excellent. We can recommend LGA but be aware that you will probably be spending a LOT of time stuck in traffic. Finally, many people we have told about our trip have been very surprised that it is possible to travel to Afghanistan. We give a very positive report and are now good ‘ambassadors’ for tourism to the country. We have also recommended Let’s Go Afghanistan to many people.Posted on A. MartinsVerified Adventure in Afghanistan 😎 We traveled the country from Herat to Kabul, mostly by car, and it was an unforgettable journey. During the whole journey we were accompanied by Reza, the company's guide, who was present right from the border, helping to make everything go well, and did an excellent job. A word of recognition to the “Lion”, the driver who accompanied us throughout the journey. The country, despite everything, is really worth visiting, above all for the People, history, and landscapes. THANK YOUPosted on tomaskubusVerified The best we could have! I was dreaming about Afghanistan many years and now my dream finally came true. I choose to travel with Let´s Go Afghanistan, because i knew this would be Professional and me as a travel guide with 16+ experience love to work with great people. It was no mistake! Since the first messages, talking about itinerary, everything was perfectly smooth and easy. Travelling in Afghanistan is not the same as travelling anywhere else, you need to fingure out transportation if you want to see Minaret of Jam, think about permits, places to stay and many more things which are hidden. Our perfect guide Fayaz was really the one who knew who to deal with everything and with touch with Ali, everything was perfect. We made 14 days from Mazar-e Sharif – Samangan – Bamiyan – Jam – Herat – Kandahar – Ghazni – Kabul and we loved every single day on the trip. What i love the most was the flexibility. We saw much more than we expected because we could talk over the itinerary and do it our way to enjoy more. I really loved this trip and if there is something i can recommend by heart, i tis Let´s Go Afghanistan! Doing great job and the best thing is, they will be better and better by every tour they do!Posted on Manuel PVerified Adventure without limits I was extremely impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by the agency, the drivers and the guide.A special thanks to the guide Reza, who was always available to make the trip unforgettable for everyone. My thanks,Posted on Rita MVerified Experience Top Xuxa We were planning this trip several months ago (me, my husband and a friend) and all the doubts, uncertainties, fears and anguishes (caused essentially by people close to you who only know from the country what comes in the social media and the internet) completely disappeared from the moment we met with Jalal, the guide who accompanied us during the 5 days in Afghanistan! Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the country, made this trip an incredible and unforgettable experience, always showed a lot of tranquility and relaxation, we did not feel insecure or uncomfortable at any time! We totally recommend Let’s Go Afghanistan and the guide Jalal, congratulations for the excellent workPosted on Neerad WadkeVerified Afghan people are amazing I visited Afghanistan in October 2025 with my parents, aged 68 & 74 years and we all had a fabulous experience.
